John F. Hartwig, chosen as IACS International Catalysis Award 2008
Prof. John F. Hartwig (http://www.scs.uiuc.edu/chem/faculty/John_Hartwig.html), University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, IL (USA) has received The International Catalysis Award of the International Association of Catalysis Societies. He presented a lecture entitled "Catalytic organometallic carbon-heteroatom bond forming reactions" at the 14th International Congress on Catalysis, Seoul, S. Korea.

James A. Dumesic is the first recipient of the IACS Heinz Heinemann Award in Catalyst Science and Technology
Prof. James A. Dumesic (http://www.engr.wisc.edu/che/faculty/dumesic_james.html) of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, WI (USA) has received the Heinz Heinemann Award in Catalyst Science and Technology of the International Association of Catalysis Societies. He presented a Plenary lecture entitled "Catalytic production of liquid fuels from biomass-derived oxygenated hydrocarbons" at the 14th International Congress on Catalysis, Seoul, S. Korea.
